Choosing the right stretch of coast
Grand Cayman splits cleanly between the busy west and the quiet north and east. South Coast, Rum Point, Cayman Kai and East End hold most of the collection.
Beach-first trips land at Beachfront and Oceanfront, where the reef keeps the water flat and swimming is the default. Seven Mile Beach puts the restaurants and shops within walking distance; Rum Point and Cayman Kai trade that for shallow turquoise water and almost no traffic; East End and North Side are the quietest coast on the island.
